Edward T. Botti
Director of Operations, Lease Audit
During 2005, Ed Botti co-founded BC Compliance Group, LLC merging his former company Progressive Economic Concepts, Inc., (founded in 1994) with Rob Connolly’s knowledge in contract compliance, taxation and unclaimed property. Ed began his business career as an accountant on Wall Street and eventually a Collateralized Mortgage Obligation auditor and Portfolio Manager for one of Wall Street most prestigious investment bankers.
Ed’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the formation of an auditing group serving the business community. Within a short period of time, Mr. Botti was providing Real Estate Accounting services for Manhattan office tenants in landmark New York properties on Wall Street, Madison Avenue, Park Avenue and in The World Trade Center. By 1997, Mr. Botti expanded his practice, and was retained by nationwide retailers and large New York City Metropolitan Area hospitals recovering millions of dollars for his clients.
Robert F. Connolly, MST
Director of Operations, Contract Compliance
During 2005, Rob Connolly, formed BC Compliance Group, LLC by merging his knowledge with that of his partner’s former firm. Their combined knowledge, expertise and integrity provide an average of 25 plus years of experience and dedication to their clients.
Over the past 17 plus years, Rob has specialized in the field of state and local taxation, contract compliance and unclaimed property. Rob has serviced clients in a wide variety of industries including Technology, Manufacturing, Transportation, Retail, Financial and Health Care. He and the professionals that he has aligned himself with have been highly successful, both domestically and internationally.
Rob previously founded and served as the Managing Director of Contract Compliance and Taxation for an international earnings enhancement firm as well as serving as a Tax Manager for various regional and Big 5 accounting firm and working within industry for a Dutch multi-national corporation.
Rudolf B. Weber, CPA
Director of Audit
Rudolf “Rudy” B. Weber has worked in the field of accounting since 1990. Rudy’s varied expertise includes private and not-for-profit auditing, forensic auditing, and real estate accounting with an emphasis on tenant specific services. Notable clients include the National Science Foundation, New York City Health and Hospital, the Fund for Armenian Relief, and the United States Departments of Agriculture and Labor.
Rudy brings a wealth of expertise to his work and draws on the diverse knowledge he has acquired from the different areas in which he has worked.
Michael VanderGoot, CPA
Senior Compliance Officer
Michael VanderGoot has worked in the real estate accounting and compliance field since 1994. During that tenure he has been a hands on Controller and Operating Officer for several real estate companies ranging from a start up developer to a mature multinational developer, owner and property manager. The accounting experience included General Ledger reconciliations, year-end Operating Expense reconciliation billings as detailed in each lease, and issuing the financial statements to the auditors and lenders per the terms of the loan covenants.
In addition, these roles provided the opportunity to review, write, and negotiate a wide array of contracts such as loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements with the municipalities supplier contracts and lease contracts. His “Landlord” perspective has strengthened our internal review process on complex issues prior to presentation to our clients.
Michael is leading BCC’s initiative in the proposed FASB proposed new lease accounting standards by using his accounting knowledge and expertise to enhance BCCs additional consulting services.
